72" Steel Shelving Unit – Temu Review

I paid $13.99, Home Depot charges $104.99 for their comparable unit.

I bought this 72" shelving unit from Temu for $13.99. I already own several nearly identical shelves from Home Depot, so this review focuses on how the Temu version compares in practice.

Honestly, they're basically comparable and likely from the same or similar manufacturer. Both use thin metal, both use thin MDF shelves, and neither one is remotely "heavy-duty" despite how they’re marketed. But for general household storage, they work fine — and the Temu price is obviously much better.

Verdict

These shelves — Temu or Home Depot — are all in the same class: light-duty, MDF-shelf units that work well for home storage, tools, gaming gear, or general organization. They are absolutely not suited for heavy-duty industrial loads. But for normal home usage, the Temu one does the job just as well for a fraction of the price.

If someone really wants stronger shelves, it's better to buy a heavier-duty system entirely rather than trying to force these to do a job they are not suited for.

For what they are, the Temu shelves are a solid value.
